Who stole the beach? (Where is King Canute when you need him?)
We have been here a few times and caught the high tides. Today the sea came so far up there was no beach left. Everyone retreated to the beach bar to watch the spectacle. Cars ran the gauntlet of spray to get out of town.

Wet & dry
I'm convinced you hardly need any clothes in this climate. You put less on, go in the sun, jump in the shower with them on, wash them whilst in the shower, "peg out", put them on the next day.

Loving 3G in Burgau
Feeling fit!

Last year we manged to swim almost every day. We built up from a start of 20 lengths increasing by two each day. This year we've increased the start point to 30. So far we've been getting them in.
Don't quite feel the benefit just yet and I do get bored just ploughing up and down. Someone must make wireless, waterproof headphones?

...so what of the hotel?

We went back to the hotel many times and each time could not understand why it was always so quiet. For us this was great, a pool to ourselves, (a floor to ourselves!). The facilities were not five star but it was modern, new, and clean. We quickly learned to get a room at the top front with a great view overlooking the village and bay(check out the photo from the balcony). Nic managed to negotiate great rates year on year but we knew it could not last, there was rarely anyone else there.
Sure enough the hotel is closed, was taken over, is open again, but there are plans........
Not sure I agree with the scale of the proposal. We now stay in an appartment whose view would be blocked if this development was granted permission at the proposed height.
